24 Hour Emergency Electrician for Your Home, Investment Property, or Rental
Every Minute You Wait on an Electrical Emergency, the Risk Gets Worse
Here's what most people don't realise: the thing you can see is rarely the full story. A tripped main switch might be a faulty appliance. Or worse, there might be damaged wiring inside the wall. A burning smell could be an overloaded circuit or the start of an electrical fire. You won't know which until an emergency electrician gets there and diagnoses it properly.

Your Emergency, Made Safe First
- Emergencies Prioritised: Safety risks go to the front of the queue. We assess urgency over the phone.
- Properly Diagnosed: We find out why it tripped. Not just reset and hope for the best.
- Clear Next Steps: Fixed quote and explanation before any further work is booked.

Questions Perth homeowners ask about Emergency Electrical
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Exposed or damaged wiring, total power loss, burning smells from power points or the switchboard, sparking outlets and any situation where someone could be at risk of shock or fire. If you’re not sure whether it’s an emergency, call us anyway. We’ll tell you over the phone.
Not everything that feels urgent actually is. A single tripped circuit that resets fine? Probably not an emergency. A burning smell you can’t trace or a main switch that won’t stay on? That needs an emergency electrician on site.
How fast can you get to me?
Depends where you are and what time you call. For genuine emergencies in our core service area, Perth’s northern suburbs, we aim to be there as quickly as possible. We don’t promise a fixed response time because traffic, time of day and how many jobs are running all affect it.
What we will do is answer the phone, assess the urgency and give you an honest timeframe. If it’s something that can be made safe over the phone in the meantime (like switching off a circuit at the board), we’ll walk you through that while we’re on the way.
Do you charge more for after hours callouts?
Yes, after hours and weekend rates are higher than standard business hours pricing. That’s standard across the industry for any 24 hour electrician service, the overheads are different when you’re rolling out at 11pm on a Saturday.
We’ll always tell you the callout fee upfront before we head out. No surprises when the invoice arrives. If the job turns out to need more than the initial safe-make, we quote that separately so you can decide how to handle it.
Should I turn off the power while I wait?
If you can do it safely, yes. Switching off the main switch at the switchboard is the safest move if you’re dealing with a burning smell, sparking or exposed wiring. It cuts power to the whole house and removes the immediate risk.
If the switchboard itself is the problem: melted casing, smoke, heat coming off it, don’t touch it. Call us and stay clear. We’ll talk you through what to do when you ring.
Will you fix the problem or just make it safe?
First priority is always making the situation safe. That might mean isolating a circuit, disconnecting a faulty fitting or de-energising damaged wiring. That happens on the spot, no discussion needed.
If the actual repair is straightforward, a faulty power point, a damaged cable run, a tripped RCD that needs investigating, we’ll often sort it on the same visit. If it’s bigger than that, you get a fixed quote and a clear explanation before any further work goes ahead. We don’t start jobs without your go-ahead and we don’t leave without telling you exactly where things stand.
